SJMC social & blog: PRSSA Boko Award

Texas State University’s Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) Chapter received the Outstanding Scholarly Program award at the Boko Awards ceremony on April 11, 2018. This award honors one student organization best-promoting academics and scholarship among its members and/or the Texas State community through a series, program, project, or event dedicated to the university and/or San Marcos community. The Chapter was recognized for hosting their successful PRSSA Regional Conference, Deep in the Heart PR, that welcomed 150 attendees from across the region to campus this semester.

Boko Awards celebrates organizations, advisors, and participants of organizations that have displayed excellence and achievement in the variety of areas that contribute to the values of Texas State University. These areas of excellence include, but are not limited to, leadership development, community service, diversity, innovation, academic development, and membership involvement.
